SOLO Wilderness First Aid

2021 Course Offerings in the Valley

MRVBC, in collaboration with Mad River Glen, is pleased to make these WFA course offerings available in the Valley with instruction provided by Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides.

WHAT: The SOLO Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is a two-day (16 - hour course) that is SOLO's most popular and provides a solid foundation in the basics of backcountry medical care. Initially offered in 1975, this course was the first of its kind in the United States, and it is the curriculum upon which all other backcountry medicine courses are based. SOLO CPR certification is included as a part of all WFA courses taught by Kingdom Adventures Mountain Guides, LLC. Each course is designed and tailored for mountain bikers, hikers, climbers, backpackers, backcountry skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts who venture out for day and weekend trips. Currently certified SOLO Wilderness First Responder (WFR) graduates may use the SOLO WFA to recertify a current WFR certification.
