Fall Trail Days
If you enjoy working in the woods and have some time to spare, please join the Valley's CTA Trail Chiefs in the their annual effort to clear the Catamount Trail of blow-downs, branches, and brush.
Things You’ll Need
You’ll need lunch, water, long pants, work gloves, hiking boots, and a pair of loppers or a handsaw. Pack or wear blaze orange as many of these dates occur during hunting season. Bring a friend, give back to the trails you enjoy, and help CTA provide trail users with great experiences this winter.
2020 Trail Work Note
This season Catamount Trail Association and MRVBC will be publishing fewer public trail work days than in the past. This is due to the pandemic. We are trying to do our part to keep people safe and respect our trail chiefs. Also, our Valley trail chiefs are amazing and many of them already have things under control.
That said, we will be publishing work days as they are submitted, or as fall storms create issues that would benefit from extra hands.
Saturday, October 24, 2020 (9:00AM start)
Section 18N: Sugarbush Golf Course to Battleground Condos
Trail Chiefs: Lauren and Geoff Slater
Always contact the Trip Leader in advance to confirm meeting times and locations, as they are subject to change.
See the CTA's Fall Trail Work page for additional opportunities.
